Have you ever heard of Fireman Sam?  If you haven’t, then let me tell you a little something about him.  Fireman Sam is a cartoon series where the main character is Sam.  He lives in a Welsh town known as Pontypandy and the story revolves with his adventures with his fellow firemen and townsfolk.  It’s pretty interesting to know that despite the fact that the series ended more than a decade ago, Fireman Sam is still famous and even has his very own set of online games for children.

Fireman Sam would appeal most to very young children below eight years old.  There are different games that Fireman Sam offers for little children.  They can be played online and they are all free.  One of these games is known as ‘Music to your Gears’, where children can learn about different sounds and match them.  There is also a painting game where you children can practice their painting skills by painting Fireman Sam or his fire truck and more.  Fireman Sam can also let children play a maze game known as ‘Poles and Ladders’ and a racing game, ‘Lifeboat Launch’.  There are also a set of rescue games: ‘Helicopter Hotspot’, ‘Radar the Sniffer Dog’, and ‘Pontypandy’s Burning Down’.

These Fireman Sam Online Games are enjoyable for children.  They are a great way of teaching little kids to use the computer and to practice their skills like eye-hand coordination, painting, music, and more.  However, it is a good idea to let the children play in moderation.  They might get carried away and play for hours.  Although Fireman Sam games are a great way for children to play and learn some skills, it is still better for them to practice these different skills in the real world and not in the virtual world.

There are advantages and disadvantages to the Fireman Sam games.  Generally, though, these games are kind of enjoyable.  Children can actually learn a lot.  At least these games are not the usual violent and mindless games.  Fireman Sam games are interactive and teach children skills that they can actually use in real life.  It’s hard to find games that children can enjoy and learn at the same time, but the Fireman Sam set of games certainly fall under the category of enjoyable and educational games for children.  I suggest you introduce these Fireman Sam games to your children.  I’m sure they will enjoy.  Just remember to let them play in moderation, though.
