Introducing the characters

The TV series Fireman Sam’s main character is the fireman of Pontypandy, Sam. A friendly and brave fireman that is ready to offer help to anyone who needs it. This little fireman is known to drive the Jupiter, a fire engine and Fireman Sam is famous for his line, “Great fires of London!” His fellow fireman like Elvis and Penny are also famous in these series. Elvis, which has an opposite character to Sam, is indeed a great fireman, in his own way. He gets into trouble because of his ideas. He is called Elvis for he has the same hairstyle.

The only female member of Fireman Sam’s team is Penny. She possess the attitude of being brave and adventurous like Sam and like Elvis she thinks of different ideas but it will turn out to be good which is not the same for Elvis. Penny drives the Venus, a kind of transportation used by the fire crew to transport their materials, and on some occasions, she also drives the Neptune, a rubber lifeboat.

Other members of the series are Officer Steele and Fireman Trevor. Fireman Trevor is a fireman known to love crickets. Office Steele is the head of the fire station in Pontypandy is very particular about the hygiene and orderliness in the station.

Fireman Sam is a Welsh firefighter in all living colors that a child would simply love looking at for a long time without being bored.  He is responsive as well as responsible member of the community in which he belongs and a doting uncle to his nephew and niece.  The series use soft visuals of stop-motion animation and everyone in the family would simply love to view the stunning colors of the adorable Welsh village.  The dialogues are funny while maintaining sense in the flow of conversation.  The story focuses on situations that the firefighter must face in order to save lives including a pet dog.  In one of Fireman Sam episodes, a child inadvertently knocked over a jack o’ lantern with a candle inside and a fire suddenly burst.  There was a serious damage but the lesson was conveyed to always be careful in everything that you do.  A parent is advised to stay close with the child and make him or her understand that everyone was safe in the end.

All about Fireman Sam Live

You might be wondering about Fireman Sam Live.  Well, it all started as an animated children’s television series about Sam, a fireman, together with other firefighters in the town of Pontypandy.  The show was first aired in Welsh language in 1985 and later comes out in English in the United Kingdom in 1987.  The series ended in 1994 and still popular up to now.  In fact it became a stage production in 1996 featuring Fireman Sam in Action.  This year, Fireman Sam has been adapted into a live musical theater show featuring new rescue adventures of Sam and his fellow firefighters.

Fireman Sam Live – Bring the Fun

Music to Your Gears: In this game, Jupiter the dog will give a specific sequence of sounds. The player has to use Fireman Sam to recall the sounds in order. They can also record their own song in this game.

What’s That Sound?: When the lights have gone out because of the lightning that stroke Pontypandy, the player needs to help Trevor Evans to recognize the sounds to the corresponding picture.

Racing & Mazes

Poles & Ladders: This game resembles Snakes & Ladders. The player competes with Naughty Norman to the finish line by crossing the phases of the board, climbing stairs, and avoiding fires. However, it will be the player to move their places in order to practice their math skills as well.

Lifeboat Launch: One of the vehicles firemen use for their operation are lifeboats. In this game, the player will have to launch the lifeboat as far as they can.

Rescue

Helicopter Hotspot: In this game, the player needs to use the arrow keys to navigate the helicopter and collect stars for the water reserves. The water reserves are to be used as source of water for putting out fires. In order to splash water on the fires with the helicopter, the player has to press the space bar.

Radar the Sniffer Dog: There is one lost resident in Pontypandy! To find him, the player needs the help of Radar the Sniffer Dog. There is radar which indicates whether the player is getting cold (far from the person being rescued) or warm (closer). Navigating Radar the Sniffer Dog is done by pressing the arrow keys.

Burning Down: There are several fires occurring in Pontypandy. The game’s goal is to put out as many fires as the player with Fireman Sam can before time runs out.
